Halupki Festival - 2nd Place "Best of the Best"!
The week of September 17, 2018 Father Andrew Bartek and all the parishioners of Holy Assumption Orthodox Church, Marblehead, Ohio received notification that the readers of The Beacon had nominated their Halupki Festival as the “2018 Best of the Best Festival and/or Event”. The Beacon is the local newspaper for Marblehead and all of Ottawa County, Ohio. Begun in 2014, The Beacon “Best of the Best” contest asks readers to judge the top businesses and business professionals in Ottawa County. There are 35 categories that range from food and drink, general business excellence, entertainment and summer resort businesses. Read about here.
The “5th Annual Best of the Best” Awards Banquet was held at the Camp Perry Convention Center, Port Clinton, Ohio onTuesday, September 25, 2018. It was there that Father Andrew and 10 parishioners received the award for 2nd Place! Congratulations to The Walleye Festival who received 1st Place.
